I think what it comes down to, in my mind at least, is this: if you wish
to create a phonetic English spelling as an intellectual exercise, as an
aesthetic art, or for the purpose of personal gratification, then peachy.
If, however, you wish to impose this spelling on others, I'll oppose it.
Possibly with weaponry . . .
