(a) retrospective pattern :
"i break the pot"
"i cut down the tree"
you go back from resultative pattern of process.
chronoexperience is :
broken <------ break
(cut) down <----- cut
while imperfective processes, like mass nouns, are
> indefinitely divisible without loss of structure.
(b) unaspective pattern :
i jump from 3rd floor
i cut the tree
the process is itself a pattern:
no chronoexperience (outside process) :
jump ------ jump
cut ------- cut
red ----- red
but that's hardly true in context :
"he jumped without parachute"
"cut wood" / "cut scar"
"i drink too much"
"he lies down defenceless"
there is always some in(ter)ference of a well known
continuum. ask slavs.
