Welcome! You probably noticed already, that there are
quite a few musicians on the list.
Just curious, where will you find the time for
conlanging and follow the list? ;)

Well, that depends very much. In my case it is mostly
a matter of "filling up some gaps".
For example: I was always fascinated by comparing
Indo-European language families. Soon, I felt sorry
that there weren't any more of them than there
actually were, so I started creating a new family
myself.
When I was learning Polish and Russian (and toying a
bit with Slavonic languages in general) I decided that
there ought to be a North-Slavonic branch as well, so
I started creating it.
The same thing with music: I create those things that
meet my own taste. Not because I want to create them
so much, but because I regret that somebody else
didn't...
