It's a single-barred h; maybe the blur in the gif confused you (if you're
not going to use clean antialiasing, don't use it at all!). And I don't like
it myself. It's the only digraph in the language, and it has no consonant
sound; it's a vowel modifier. Why not just put a circumflex on the vowel
like Tamazight does?
Still, I think I'm going to study this language. I already am learning
Arabic (off and on). Notice you have a lot of short-vowel syncopation,
common to most North African Arabic dialects (Moroccan *really* reduces its
vowels). And is it just me or does Maltese seem to tend towards being
polysynthetic?
And I love that word _waqqfu_.
