Didn't we used to have a native speaker of Maltese on this list years ago? I
wonder how he'd like that one.

... and I just remembered referring to English as "essentially a mix of Low
German and even lower French", and now that Malta gets to hang around with
French, German, Spanish, Dutch and Polish speakers a little more, that'll
surely make Maltese the quintessential muttlang. Or would Romani still hold
that honor?
