For greetings in Obrenje, I'd like to refer to a previous post:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/conlang/message/75744
I might also add the following:
|O vedanje mole> /O v@"danj@ mo:l/ "that you may be welcome"
|Vedanjerde| /v@danj"Erd@/ "you are being welcomed"
|O ne vedanjele| /O n@ v@dan"je:l/ "that you may make yourself at home"
or simply: |Vedanje| /v@d"anj@/ "welcome, at home".
I haven't given Jovian greetings much thought yet. Standard IE
constructions like |Bon' din| /bAn"din/, a clipped version of |bonun
din| "good:ACC day:ACC", should work well enough. Likewise: |Bon'
nucten| /bAn"nUxt@n/ "good night", |bon' manen| /bAm"ma:n@n/ "good
morning", |bon' viosprun| /bAm"biSpr@n/ "good evening".
From "salve", I could make |sau| /saw/ "hello, hi". "Welcome" would
probably come out as |wilgommen| /vil"gAmm@n/, as a loan from German.
One particularity of Jovian is |o| /A/, a vocative particle that used
to be an interjection in Latin, but is used more like a preposition in
Jovian. It is mandatory when addressing someone formally or
emphatically. |O doemu, espicto tuun jussun| /A"DAjmeS"piCtA
tUn"jUss@n/ "O master, I am awaiting your order", |O mazer santa deji!|
/A"va:D@r"sant@"De:ji/ "Holy mother of God!"
