Phew! That was too long an exercise but the reward was that it confirmed
that I can brag my rootwordlist translates anything (more or less--don't
dare me :-).

Christopher Wright <faceloran@...> a mitatangu:

1. cream--Putuna ("thick_liquid")
Cats enjoy eating cream.
Pikumi tukira-tukira a pumamasu siruta putuna-pikusu.
Any cats do relish eating thick_liquid-milk.

2. thin--Siwakiri (< sikiri "big with fat")
This cat is thin, so he must not have eaten much of anything, much less
cream.
Mikasa ai tukira pamanga a siwakiri u purita ai timiku a siruruta kinima
putaki u pikakami putuna-pikusu u pisami* wi.
Conjecture is-that cat this is un-fat @ cause is-that she does eat quasi
nothing @ including cream-milk @ logical IRREALIS.

*"Pisami" means "as may be expected according to logics" and is used to
translates English "let alone X", French "il va sans dire que X". Its
reverse "Piwasami" means "as may not be expected according to logics" and is
used to translate English words like "even" as in "Even cats have dreams".

3. to promise--Pinunumi
I promise to care for the cat from now until Ragarnok [Norse mythology: end
of the world].
Pikani a pinunumi samunga tukira u sikini ai marisa u siwakini ai siwakini
puriku.
I do promise care-for cat @ start is-that now @ end is-that end world.

4. to interrupt--Putama (intransitive: "to end before completion") ;
Putaputama (causative: "to put an end before completion") Ragarnok
interrupted my oath.
Siwakini puriku a putaputama sitani pukara yungai pikani (u musara).
End world does interrupt duration oath that-by me (@ past).

5. lightning--Sikuti-sukati ("light-spear")
Lightning flashes brightly, not waiting for the previous bolt to stop before
the next one crashes down
Sikutisikuti-sukati a tunimi ya tukini wa, a pukani karunga ya sikikini u
tusiru yu pawanata a patatasi tarangu.
Lights-spear do flash that-is bright well, are sequence shot that start @
front of next does hit ground.

6. unison--Kutusa pakuta ("combine voice")
Thunder sounds in unison with the lightning.
Sakiri-kusaru a kiririta u kutusa kirita yungai sikuti-sukati.
Drum-storm does sound @ combine sound that-by light-spear.

7. shelter--Kisitu-tumunga ("roof-safety")
There is no shelter from the terrible storms and earthquakes.
A paiputaki kisitu-tumunga u tumumunga* kusaru-manuki wa sumungu-muruni.
(There) is has-no roof-safety @ preventing storm-sky then quake-earth.

*"Tumumunga X uyu Y" is lit. "to prevent X for Y" and means "to protect Y
from X".
In other words, the direct and oblique objects are swapped.

8. ancient--Simura
Ancient buildings are ruined by the floods and warring deities.
Pikanga-pikanga ya simura wa, a tatasamu uyungai munatu-munatu wa uyungai
minati-minati* ya pumumutu.
Buildings that-are ancient well, are decayed by floods then by spirits
that-do wage_war.

*I picked "minati" (soul, spirit) rather than "tunuru" (god) because it
rhymes with "munatu" (flood).

9. protest--Masusungi (v.) ; Masungi (n.)
Environmentalists lodge a protest with the gods regarding the destruction of
the planet.
Munasu-pisunu-tumani a piraramu minati-minati wa, a masusungi u sanaku ai
tiwaminga patusi-muruni.
Group-safety-environment does address gods well, do protest @ topic is-that
unmaking celestialbody-earth.

10. spite--Musiti
In spite, Loki and Thor rip the world to tiny pieces.
U musiti wa, Minati-pinatu a sakumu Minati-pasuna wa, a kamamaru masati wa,
a pukupukusu puriku ya wa pumuku kasangi-kasangi ya kiwatimu.
@ spite well, Spirit-cunning does vy_with Spirit-fair well, do fight
reciprocate well, do tear world that-does then become breakings that-are
mini.

11. to regenerate--Kisikisiri "restore"
Odin, responding to the environmentalists' pleas, regenerates the universe.
Minati-timinga a turarami masungi yungai munasu-pisunu-tumani wa, a
kisikisiri mutuni puriku-puriku.
Spirit-creating does yield protest that-by group-safety-environment well,
does restore all worlds.
