Well, in my opionion, it's easier to think of it as "to please" since the
indirect object pronouns make more sense that way. It's also easier on
beginning learners to define it as "to please"(IMHO), since in all of my
beginning classes, the confusion over it's use was thinking it meant "to
like".=20
