As for other conlangs based on English... I don't know of any, except an
idea of a project I've been toying around with. In it, I plan to break with
my exoticnessophilia and use Latin-based roots, if a derivation is
suppletive: heart~cardial, hand~manual, etc. It will be isolating like
Vietnamese, use a lot of compounding, and have OVS word order. The
vocabulary will be derived by a list of sound changes, which will eliminate
clusters like [str\].
But that's basically all I've figured out so far; the project has gotten
barely any attention so far, as I've been busy with my other conlangs. But
stay tuned! :P
