I have to say I have a certain soft spot for "Thoscano". An ex-boyfriend of
mine came from Empoli (which is near Florence) and over the four months we
were together he taught me Italian. Of course, he neglected to mention that
he spoke with a very strong Tuscan accent and gods did I get laughed at when
I went to Rome...
And it was only a few months ago that I learnt that "domenica" is spelt with
a "c".
