i just created this english spelling reform (so i can type quickly
without so many typos):
vowels:
a (as in father), aw - a
a (as in cat) - ae
"long a" - ai
"short e" - e
"long e" - ei
"short i" - i
"long i" - y
"short o" - ao
"long o" - ou
u - u
shwa - e, o, a
ow - au
consonants:
b - b
c/k - c
ch - cc
d - d
f - f
"hard g" - g
h - h
j, "soft g" - cg
l - l
m - m
n - n
ng - nn
p - p
qu - q
r - r
s - s
sh - sc
t - t
th - ð
v - f
w - w
x - cs
y - y
z - ss
double consonants are usually written double (mm, nn, ll). 'the' is
always spelled <ðe> regardless of whether it is pronounced with a "short
e" or "long e". a silent 'e' is sometimes added because i feel like
adding one (i'm sure it's not completely arbitrary, but i don't feel like
figuring how it works right now)
