Ah! Let me guess, you're at or associated with UC Berkeley? I did apply
there but Stanford (for the reasons above) would have been preferable to
me even if I'd gotten in.
A friend of mine at UC Berkeley, a psych major, is the son of a UC
Berkeley doctorate (in psych) and a Stanford doctorate (in English).
=^) It's apparently the source of Lots of Good-Natured Ribbing. As a
Texan trying to become a New Yorker I avow no preference. :-p
