Well, I also try to avoid homonymy in my conlang, Aingeljã. However I have some cases:
* nou = nine (number).
* nou = our (possessive determiner); ours (possessive pronoun).
* nou = contraction of "ne" + "ou" = in the.
* nou = new (adjective).
I don't use diacritics at all. I think they can be distinguished by the position in the sentence.
