Ach du lieber Gott in Himmel! Ich beheffed like a verdammt Uglyamerikaner! :) My favorite example of this sort of thing is from a Capt. America comic book I read as a kid - featuring Adolf Hitler his own bad self being forced to parachute out of a damaged airplane. As he jumps out of the plane, he says, "As a verdammt Amerikaner would say: 'Geronimo!'" My favorite part: there was a footnote explaining that no, he didn't *really* say that. Well, of course not! It's a comic book! None of it *really* happened! But I guess suspension of disbelief only goes so far. It's one thing to believe in a sentient, flying, flaming android constructed from WW2-era technology; a man from Atlantis who can not only breathe underwater but also fly (thanks to teeny-tiny wings on his ankles!); or a 98-lb weakling transformed instantly via one-time injection into a paragon of human athletic prowess. That's all well and good. But Hitler saying "Geronimo"? Nuh-uh! Give me my quarter back, this is a bunch of hooey! :) -Marcos
