Tamil retroflexes are sublamino-palatal
or apico-palatal. Such sounds are called
'cacuminal' in Swedish tradition, and occur
in Scandinavian dialects as the reflex of

are merely sublamino-postalveolar. I lack
info for other Indic languages, I'm afraid.
