>Nordhanvinturinn og Solin, hvort theirra vaeri sterkari'
"Once upon a time the North Wind and the Sun quarrelled(?), (about) who of
them was the strongest", or something like that. Weirdly enough, I once read
a book that had an example where story that began like this (in Swedish) was
given first in normal writing and the in phonemic and phonetic writing to
demonstrate who the IPA worked.
In order to see who was strongest, they tried to remove a man's coat as
quickly as possible. The North Wind blew has hard as he could, but the man
only pulled the coat tighter around him. Then the Sun shone, and the man
quickly got so warm that he had to take the coat off. Thus the Sun won.
