What case is the inverse of the dative?

In the sentence, "Sally gave the book TO JOHN", "to John" would use the
dative case as it marks the recipient. I want a case that marks the giver,
as in "John got the book FROM SALLY."
I have been looking for a long time, and have not found a natlang with such
a case. If I were to create one, what would be equivalent to the Latin
phrase "the case appropriate for giving", "casus dativus"? I am thinking
"casus accivus", which would make this the accive case.
Thoughts?
