Interesting indeed. Similarly, a split tripartite pronouns / erg-abs nouns
system would also be theoretically possible. I have no idea if that, either,
is attested, but I have a hunch that it might actually be a bit more
plausible than your suggestion... If there's a part of the hierarky with
less case marking possible than in some other, isn't it usually a loer part?
The objectiv forms of English personal pronouns would be an immediate
example, and Finnish sort of does the same too - only personal pronouns have
an overt accusativ form; for all nouns, adjectivs and other pronouns, it
looks the same as either the genetiv singular or the nominativ plural.
