Rahha, my #3 project, has some cute conpunct as part of its conscript. We
have:
End-of-sentence mark - a long low dash
End-of-paragraph mark - two stacked long dashes
End-of-section/document mark - 3 " " "
Comma - low dot
Semicolon - 2 low dots
Colon - There is no colon. Its nearest Rahha equivalent is the particle "u".
Hyphen - mid dot
Mark of omission (used in abbreviations and when omitting part of a
quotation) - mid long dash
Emphasis mark (placed directly after the word to be emphasised) - 2 small
high dots
Joy mark (a specialised equivalent to the exclamation mark; indicates
pleasure, and is placed directly after the word most emphasised) - 3 small
high dots, arranged in a ^-shape
Woe mark (a specialised equivalent to the exclamation mark; indicates
displeasure, and is placed directly after the word most emphasised) - 3
small high dots, arranged in a v-shape
Question mark (placed directly after the word to be emphasised) - high breve
Quote marks - large single guillemets
Brackets - hard to describe
Start-number mark - looks like Latin colon
Symbols: Ats, Pent-ats, Vel, Fir. These symbols, which have no mystical
significance but relate to astronomical observations and the changing of the
seasons, are sometimes used in a similar way to asterisk. They represent,
respectively: Sun, Eclipse, Star, Moon.
Some brief detail, and examples, at www.zolid.com/zm/rahha (a
work-in-progress) and examples in use at www.zolid.com/ijdiv/ijdiv2.htm (the
last inscription here is in Rahha).
