Hatasoe has three punctuation marks.
The first is the full stop, consisting of two x's one over the other
(looks a little like a colon). The second is the half-pause, or comma,
and it consists of a straight line (a dash, essentially). The final mark
is relatively new; it is a question mark, coming at the end of a sentence,
and consists of a cross topped by two circles, like this
O O
+
It comes from a fusion of the period and the word "ala," which indicates a
question. ("Ala" in hatasoe script is represented by two circles, the
second with a dot in the center.)
