Informally mária but formally Veress Péterné.

For instance: on the identification card or every formal file, there are two fieds
for the person's name:
* one is the full name which can be in case of women, 'Veress Péterné' or
'Veress Péterné Kováts Mária'
(or rarely 'Veress Mária') or 'Kováts Mária'.
* the other is for the maiden name 'Kováts Mária'.
but a when a woman gets married, she has to choose *one* variant of that name and
_use that variant for the
remaining of her life_ (or until she divorces), but mainly in formailities.
Ohh, I hope you understand.
