Anyone have a system like what I see with Inupiaq and I suspect
other "Eskimos" where you are given an "eskimo" name, often a
name that an ancestor or honored person was known as..
Sort of like being called John "Bubba" Smith, cause your
grandfather was "Bubbu" Smith, or was David "Bubba" Smith.
I know I was given an "Eskimo" name, by a friend, but it was for
an annoying habit I have, I talk to much, or am to nosey..
"Ganuqbuq" means I remember, big nose or big mouth, or big head.
I think Mouth is closer.

Other customs such as taking an adult name, when you reach
maturity..
Also ones for your official title name, versus your before you
became King name.
Like will Charles be Charles III or will he be Philip I or for
fun William V the end of the dynasty? (play on William I and
William IV of Orange).
The Roman form, interesting, especially how it expanded to
non-Romans..
Fun is when you have women ruling, but they take on male names
and male forms of their name. Like Catherine the Great, was not
always called that? Or was she, known some women who ruled in
history even wore beards to appear to be male and had male
official names!?
