Fluency Wish-List

Well, I'll chime in with mine.
CONLANGS:
1. Valdyan, of course. I'm not nearly fluent enough, and I'd like to
speak it in the role-playing game at least. I don't expect my players
to be fluent as well :-)
2. Denden; not only to speak it with Boudewijn, but also because it's
a really gorgeous language.
3. Drasele'q. I just like it!
4. Teonaht, partly for the same reasons as Doug, partly because I
like the sound of it when Sally sings it.
5. Any of the Celtic conlangs, or indeed anything else :-)
I have no ambition to be fluent in an auxlang.
NATLANGS:
1. Welsh. I used to be reasonably fluent, I liked the "taste" of it,
and I'm very annoyed to have lost it.
2. Romanian; ditto.
3. Finnish, because of those glorious eleven cases, and all the rest.
4. Latin. I had a dream once in which I could speak Latin fluently;
in fact the whole dream was in Latin. When I woke up I couldn't even
remember a single word that had been said, only that it was in Latin,
but I still remember this as one of my very best dreams.
5. Turkish. I keep intending to take Turkish lessons, but one year
it's on Thursday to coincide with choir practice, the next it's just
a women's cultural exchange thing and no proper language class,
etcetera... My four-year-old daughters speak it better than I do,
picking it up from their classmates!
