Start of Relay 14!

Hi!
Relay 14 will start on Dec. 16th with me translating into Þrjótrunn.
This means that Jim Henry and Philip Newton will follow on Dec 18th
with their individual translations into Toki Pona.
ALL OTHERS: PLEASE FINALISE YOUR AVAILABILITY SETTINGS NOW.
On
Wednesday, December 13th at 12:00 UTC
I will use the snapshot of availability settings for computing the
final Relay 14 schedule. Any changes made after that minute will
require manual adjustment of the schedule, very probably meaning
strongly degraded quality, i.e. less preferences fulfilled!
We will have two rings and reserve a spare ring for late-comers and
people who drop out and still want to play.
Because I would be nervous and feel uneasy when unable to manage the
relay during the Christmas days without Internet connection, I have
introduced a large bubble of almost one week from Dec. 22 to Dec. 27
where the Torch will be frozen.
Anyway, because many people have marked preferred availability for
December, I think it is good to start now.
The relay will probably be over on around Jan 25.
From the penalty computed for the test schedules I can already tell
that the schedule for Relay 14 seems to please more peoples'
preferences than that of Relay 13.
More details will follow.
Are those people who have marked that Dec 31st and Jan 1st are good
days sure that a jitter of a few hours (different time zones) will not
disturb them?
Bye,
Henrik
