Huh? It was Gary who came up with the "lazy American speech habits". Besides that, it's rather *you* who often are "gratuitously rude and uncouth", and you're not the first American I've had unpleasant experiences with, either... However, I'm not as arrogant as to make sweeping generalizations about all Americans from that. I know many Americans who are very nice actually, but some apparently can't behave. EOT -- Pascal A.
