fire: from the root 'naawl', the baseform '-nāol-': annāoli N.CO fire, flames water: from the root 'khaar', the baseform '-hār-': anhāri N.CO water (khaar is also the root used in words for sea, ocean, wetness, etc.) (naan is used in words for springs, pools, and fresh water. So the word used for water when in the desert is: annāmmi N.CO drinking water, clean water) (taan, which is probably related to naan, is the root used in words for running water, rivers, creeks, streams, and eddies and currents) (reejn is the root used in words for fresh water vs salt water and for navigable rivers, canals, and such.) -- Sylvia Sotomayor sylvia1@ix.netcom.com kelen@ix.netcom.com Kēlen language info can be found at: http://www.terjemar.net/kelen.php This post may contain the following: ñ (n-tilde) þ (thorn) ā (a-macron) ē (e-macron) ī (i-macron) ō (o-macron) ū (u-macron) λ (lambda) āe ñarra anmārienne cī āe reharra anmārienne lā;
