Question:
I was just writing a letter to someone in which I listed the suffixes which
mark Arove"n parts of speech:
verb: a tense indicator, e.g. -o, -ya, -a, -wi"
adjective: -e or -i
adverb: -in or -im (or -arin, -arim)
noun:
subject: no suffix
first object (Accusative): -en
second object (Dative): -er
* third object ("Jurative"): -em
I was wondering whether there is a standard name for such a "third object"
beyond Accusative and Dative. I occasionally call it the "Jurative" (origins
obscure and best left that way! :) but this is pretty arbitrary.
Thanks,
Josh
