Well, since the Roman Church is the worst of all heretics the Donatists naturally rejected the papally sponsored calandar reform just as the Eastern Churches did. Further, I believe that Carraxa was under Ottoman rule at the time and thus civil administration would have been by years AH. Once local rule is restored the Gregorian calandar will be firmly entrenched in civil admin throughout Europe and will likely be adopted for secular purposes in Carraxa, but the Church sticks to the Julian/Eastern date for Christmas. Easter, however, is calculated by the Jewish Passover and thus disagrees with both Western AND Eastern observance.
