The Livagian "syllabary" is like this, though there are also
sometimes separate marks above characters.
The Livagian alphabet is very hard to write *without* joining the
characters together; you'd have to make a special effort to lift the
pen. Hopefully I might soon find the time to write out the letters
and send them to some lyacophile or graphophile on this list who can
make them available on the web.
