Those two would make vèry fine Anian tcani (wise
sayings). They are vaguely reminiscent of Taoist
or Buddhist wisdom. Hell, the first one is pretty
good Christian wisdom (reminiscent of Gnostic
Christian teaching).

Similar to "a bird in the hand is better than two
in the bush".
1. [Anian tcani # 167]
hhcso-s-ehi lklamunum : hhcso-s-ehi ahhlklamunum.
you-self lose; you-self unlose
Can be either infinitive or imperative: take your
pick.
2. [Anian tcani # 59, in Talarian]
wellani-han, na-pumis-he ni-xatam-hap.
mountain-on, no-place-and downward-go-away-from
3. [Kerno saying]
y lepeores dew meiyoer quy lepeors yen.
the rabits two better than-the rabbit one
Padraic.

There was a musician named Packett,

he stood with care
