I don't think this is good Greek, because the force of "ana-" (upward,
backward) is lost.  An anachronism is not merely in the wrong time,
but specifically from a later time than its context.

But hey, it's not as bad as Centaur-Greek (from Cabell's _Jurgen_), where
contrary-to-fact conditional clauses are ungrammatical:

        "Hail, friend," says Jurgen, "if you be the work
        of God."

        "Your protasis is not good Greek," observed the
        Centaur, "because in Hellas we did not make such
        reservations. Besides, it is not so much my origin
        as my destination which concerns you."
