I'll turn 20 in Januar. What my oldest conlang is depends a bit on the
definition of a conlang, but about five years ago I did some work on a
future version of English for my then current conworld. The changes compared
to modern English were however restricted to pronunciation, spelling an
vocabulary - the grammar was the same. Interesingly, many of the
pronunciation changes took the spoken language closer to the written (for
instance /ei/>/a/ in many words) - supposedly the result of plenty of
foreigners learning it from written sources. When this conworld got
radically rethought about three years ago I had developed an interest in
linguistics, and inspired by Tolkien I started out to make an a-priori
conlang for it, which turned out become Tairezazh. Unlike many a-priori
conlangs, Tairezazh is quite "European" in style.
