samang ya leshnam, iðuzhang ya karrkakar
beb enbanar subanar u elldahingar yir beb oltokdahingar yir.
samang ya hashnam, iðuzhang ya issulir
beb enbanar subanar u futodahingar yir beb þomadahingar yir.
I went to the east, I saw the ravens,
And all the things that were new and busy.
I went to the west, I saw the egrets,
And all the things that were old and calm.
The poem is written in parallelism, which in Khangaþyagon is used for
contemplative verse.
