Well, technically "bismallah" is |b| 'with/by/in' |ism| '[the] name [of]'
|allah| 'God', so there isn't really any pattern-alternation going on
with the root that i can see.

You can go for whatever you want in order to make different patterns -
internal vowel alternations, prefixes, suffixes, infixes, circumfixes...
