I created Vala Lakha with its sprachbund languages, and named one of the characters in my story Uan, pronounced /Uan/, not /wan/. I started fooling around with Gaelic over the holidays, - housesitting can be so boring - and discovered that |uan| in Gaelic is "lamb". In my story it's "snowflake". Go figure! Wesley Parish or
