After reading Todd Garrison's story, I was intrigued, so I emailed
him (yesterday) about the site he mentions that has the complete
text of Real Character (the book by Wilkins) scanned in .gif
files. I also mentioned CONLANG, and conlanging in general,
wondering whether he was curious or interested.
Here is the link to the book in .gifs. I printed Part I out, and
it's very interesting.

BTW, what conlang links would you guys recommend that I
send to someone who's not interested in conlanging himself,
per sé, but wants to know more about the phenomenon, or
pages for individual languages? Most of the links I have myself
are on the more practical side, i.e. resources for how to create
a language.
