I thought it was a common word. Even *I* know it, and I'm
Swedish. ;) OTOH, it might be because one of my all time
favourite bands is Veruca Salt (spelt with one r!). Not
too nice a name, but I read somewhere that they took it
from one of the characters in Roald Dahl's "Charlie and
the Chocolate Factory".
I guess verruca salt is something that removes verrucas?
In that case, it's a nice band name.
