I like to think of the relation between X and its arguments like this:
All arguments of X have all the properties of X.
So, to clarify the relations of the arguments to X, words like 'to' have to be
used. In your example
sentence:
(gilgash( yemi (na) ho)).
both yemi and ho would have the properties of gilgash. So, the sentence would translate as:
A man and a dog bite.
So, to translate the sentence:
A man bites a dog.
We would have to introduce some kind of directional or patient property. We could use, for
example, lai and translate it as "patient". The sentence would then be:
(gilgash (yemi (na) lai ho)).
literaly:
(bite (man () patient (dog))).
I applied the syntax rule to your sentence:
"You, too, could like jack-o-lanterns very much, but we
shouldn't take that for granted."
using the English words and came up with:
(Possible (too (very (much (like (you (na) patient (jack-o-lanterns))))))). (But (not (should (for
(granted (take(we (na) patient (that)))))))).
