Nope, it's the server. If the UTF-8 encoding of your message happens
not to include any bytes in the forbidden range, it comes through just
fine and dandy, otherwise gobbledygook. I seem to recall that Cyrillic
yeru is one of the characters that absolutely will not make it through
unless you use UTF-7.
