There's a convention of using the letters for voiced stops in Australian
languages -- Jirrbal, Yidiny, Warrgamay, Mbabaram, Guugu Yimidhirr, etc.
Whether this reflects actual voiced stops in these languages, or just
unaspirated stops that sound voiced to the ears of native English speakers,
I don't have any idea. And there are a few exceptions like Pitjantjatjarra,
which use all voiceless stop letters.
