It's simple cos church is conducted in Latin! By the
way, that's how the text appears in the Codex
Glastoniensis (copied from Codex Landavensis). In the
missal, there's a fancy frontispiece with the text
copied from the old Gospel Book. Within the body of
the book, the text is "regularised", i.e., words are
properly spaced and the misspelled words are correct.
