It also pops up in Spanish emails on Ideolenga (not often, gratias Deo) as
an abbreviation of "que". Another poster there is trying to promote -i as
an epicene ending; he(she?) begins msgs. "Hola a todis". Some also sign off
with "Salu2" I can understand the need or desire for brevity, but still
it's all cringe-making.
