Carsten Becker scripsit:> Not related to the topic, what does "anadew(ism)" mean? I didn't find it in > the dictionary. And what does ObConlang mean?"Anadew" is an acronym for (the exact expansion varies) "A natlang also does (it) even worse", and means that it's hard to invent a feature so perverse that some natlang has not already made use of it. The term was invented on this list. ObConlang is used to mark a conlang-related paragraph in an otherwise off-topic post. "Ob-" stands for "obligatory". This construction is used on many mailing lists and newsgroups. -- John Cowan <jcowan@...> http://www.ccil.org/~cowan http://www.reutershealth.com Unified Gaelic in Cyrillic script! http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Celticonlang
