Re: Pejorative words (was: Introducing myself, and several questions)

-ach- in Ido and I think also Esperanto gives an unfavourable or
disparaging meaning: infant-acho = brat; dom-acho = hovel.

I have asked people who speak Ido if this can be used with personal
pronouns. Every time I got the answer that you couldn't and suggesting that
it would probably be met with strong disaproval from any Ido speaker.

The pronouns in Ido are:

me - I, me
tu - you (intimate singular form, like French and Italian 'tu', German 'du')
vu - you (singular)
ilu or il - he, him
elu or el - she, her
olu or ol - it
lu - he, she or it
ni - we, us
vi - you (plural of 'vu')
li - they (plural of 'lu')
onu or on - one
su - oneself, himself, herself, itself, themselves.

It would certainly show a great deal of contempt to address somebody
as "tachu", or address a group as "tachi", or to talk about someone
using "ilachu" or "elachu", or about a group as "lachi", etc. I suppose it
could also be used against oneself: "mache", or "nachu".
