Re the supposed -ul suffix in Nazgul? I think you'll find that this is Nazg + gul, i.e., "Ring" + "Wraith". Incidentally, Nasc is Irish Gaelic for "ring". I seem to remember Tolkien saying somewhere that he wasn't that fond of the sound of the Goidelic langs, so maybe he's trying to tell us something! Mike>
