Are you sure? Because those descriptions don't correspond at all to what Spanish people pronounce. As I said, the single |r| is usually [4], i.e. a single flap (but can represent [r] at the beginning of a word) and the double |rr| is always [r], i.e. a trill, or various flaps. Your dictionary must use its own system with which [r] represents a single flap. In that case representing trills with [rr] is a good enough approximation. Pronounce Spanish words with [r:] and you'll get all Spanish people around fall of their chair from laughter (I know that from experience!! :)) ).
