My friend Zack explained, and *please* take this with a Dead Sea's worth
of salt, that the name comes from the fact that they're inevitably of
kawaii anime girls that aliens in UFO's like to come and kidnap.  I would
love to be enlightened as to an, um, alternate etymology.
