Most examples of -sion outside of -ssion are /Z@n/ is my point. Other
examples:
Abrasion (altho my dictionary claims that has /S/, but I've only heard
it with /Z/)
Confusion
Lesion
Version (altho here again my dictionary claims /S/, I have never heard
it with /S/)
While -ssion is usually /S@n/
Accession
Succession
Secession
Passion
But Fission is generally /fIZ@n/
For that matter, s is often /z/ when intervocalic if not doubled, like
"raise", "leasure", but "passing".
