Actually I did find that online at amazon.com. The paperback version is
only 34 dollars, which is something I could afford. The one I borrowed
from my library (The World's Writing Systems) is $165.00 because it's
hardbound. Anyway, i think I may buy The Blackwell Encyclopedia of Writing
Systems.
