Using the Table of Contents, I count 98 languages, plus 9 articles on
various larger families, in the digest 600 page one version. I don't know
on the $110 book, but I think in the Introduction to the Concise Compendium
it says there are about 300 languages in the larger book. Hopefully that
helps in your decision.
